As of March 1st 2008, all shipments will be subject to the following base price increase:
This price increase is necessary to recover rising costs and to support continued capital investments and growth. Also, the strong demand for plates in energy linked sectors in which Industeel is highly engaged puts a supplementary pressure on prices. Industeel is among the most innovative leading producers for Mould & Tool plates and forged blocks, including plastic injection mould steels, cold and hot work tool steels. |

Terastorni Oy in Finland ordered for application in pulp and paper industry our new LEAN DUPLEX 2202. UR2202 is a low nickel, low molybdenum stainless steel designed to match the corrosion resistance of 304L in most low corrosive agressive environments. Free chloride bleaching processes allow the use of such lean alloyed duplex steels. Its higher strength properties allow to achieve weight saving for structure or equipments. So Lean duplex is especially adapted to architecture, water industries, some parts of oil & gas equipments and pulp & paper. For more technical details, a datasheet is available on our Website. |

Industeel duplex steel for Mont Saint Michel - Published on October 9th, 2007 |

Mont Saint Michel, a jewel of French architecture, is little by little becoming attached to the coast by sand. Industeel, a subsidiary of the ArcelorMittal Group, is providing duplex stainless steel plates. These will be an essential part of the sector gates system which will help the river Couesnon to wash out the sand from the Mont Saint Michel area. Duplex 2205 has been selected as the material due to its abrasion corrosion resistance in such an environment. Built to last Duplex stainless steels have been developed by Industeel since the 70’s. They are an excellent alternative to austenitic steels for many applications. Their low Nickel and Molybdenum contents make them a cost effective solution, while their corrosion and mechanical properties (twice more than austenitics) are excellent. Industeel is the leader in the production of duplex quarto plates, with 40% of market shares. Industeel is specialised in advanced technology carbon steel, alloy and stainless steel plates. Operating three complementary industrial plants in France and Belgium, Industeel also has a network of 40 sales offices throughout the world. This symbolic mark has just been reached by Industeel, with the securing of new orders for LNG storage tanks that will bring the number of such facilities that have been or will shortly be built using Industeel´s CryElso®9Q material over 120, worldwide.
