Industeel wear resistant steels are produced by two techniques:
Industeel proposes a unique range of abrasion-resistant products comprising two complementary steel solutions:
A full range of products for higher wear resistance and improved performance for the end user :

ApplicationsWear resistant steel plates are particularly used for applications in mining, quarries, construction, cement plants, steelmaking, etc.
Standard solution / ForaFor this product family, resistance to abrasion depends exclusively on the steel hardness obtained after water quenching. The chemical composition (primarily the carbon content) can be adjusted to adapt the hardness (400, 450, 500 HB) to various abrasion needs. |

High manufacturing quality with precisely balanced chemical compositions and high-performance secondary metallurgy ensure the best compromise between mechanical properties and usage properties (machining, forming, thermal cutting, welding).
This solution is ideal for standard abrasion applications that require workable steels with resistance to wear by sliding or moderate impacts.

This is an original solution based on the exceptional properties of TRIP (transformation Induced by Plasticity) steels. Whereas standard water-quenched steels offer only passive resistance through the original hardness obtained after quenching, TRIP steels go beyond this to achieve an effective increase in wear resistance while in service.
Three important metallurgical properties are combined to make these steels the ideal solution for severe abrasion applications:
In addition, the mixed microstructure (martensite, bainite) of these steels, characterized by the presence of highly ductile residual austenite results in exceptional resistance to impacts and cracking while offering improved workability.
